“My goal is to assist clients in understanding that they are the expert on themselves.”
Ashley earned her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice at Cal State Long Beach and her Master’s in Social Work at Cal State Los Angeles. She has worked with the Department of Public Social Services, the Department of Children and Family Services across several counties, rehabilitation programs, at-risk youth, young mothers and domestic violence survivors.
She established Blue Jay Family Services in the Inland Empire because it is where she grew up, and where she wants to keep helping people reach their emotional healing goals.

Compassionate, personalized care. Sessions are built around your own needs and goals using evidence-based approaches including CBT and mindfulness.

You complete the intake paperwork so there is time to review it before you meet.
Your confirmation and secure session link arrive so you can test everything in advance.
Somewhere private and comfortable, you begin at your own pace.
Three quick steps. Your answers stay private.
Ashley will call you at the number you gave to set up your free 15-minute consultation.
Five programs, all delivered by the same licensed clinician, built to satisfy what the court asked for while actually being worth your time.
A structured, evidence-based program. You learn to control emotional responses, improve communication, and handle conflict constructively.
A supportive, therapeutic environment for anyone mandated to attend. You address the underlying issues while complying with what the court requires.
For families going through separation or reunification. Sessions rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and support everyone involved.
For divorced or separated parents. The focus is communication, resolving conflict, and making decisions jointly instead of through the children.
Personalized sessions for parents who need more support, working through specific challenges and building a plan that serves the children.
Bring your paperwork to the free consultation. Ashley will read what the court actually ordered and tell you which program satisfies it.
Individual therapy shaped around you. Here is what the work actually looks like.
A safe environment to explore your emotions, at your own pace. Nothing you bring is too small, and you are never rushed to a conclusion you are not ready for.
Cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices. Together you find the underlying causes and triggers, then challenge the thought patterns keeping them in place.
The goal is not permanent therapy. It is a future where you use what you learned on your own: coping strategies, boundaries, and resilience that outlast the sessions.
Anxiety
Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes persistent it interferes with your ability to function and enjoy life.
Young adults
Get a job. Move out. Figure out your life. Therapy is where you work on trauma, anxiety, boundaries and what you actually want.
Motherhood
As parents we take care of everything and everyone and forget ourselves. Whatever you need to talk about, that hour is yours.
Relationships
Trouble setting boundaries because of what if they get mad. We work on healthy versus unhealthy relationships.
Court services
Anger management, court-ordered counseling, reunification and co-parenting, designed to promote real personal growth.

A therapist can provide support, problem-solving skills and enhanced coping strategies for issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship troubles, unresolved childhood issues, grief, stress management, body image issues and creative blocks. A therapist can also give you a fresh perspective on a difficult problem. The benefits you get from therapy depend on how well you use the process and put into practice what you learn.
Yes. Confidentiality is one of the most important parts of the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist. You will receive a written copy of the confidential disclosure agreement, and what you discuss in session is not shared with anyone. Your therapist cannot release information without your written permission.
State law and professional ethics require therapists to break confidentiality in two situations:
Yes. Optum, Cigna, IEHP and United Healthcare PPO are accepted, with a superbill available on request. To learn what your own mental health coverage includes you need to call your insurer.
Useful questions to ask them are what your mental health benefits are, the coverage amount per session, how many sessions your plan covers, how much is paid for an out-of-network provider, and whether approval is required from your primary care physician. It is your responsibility to know your policy and your copay or deductible.
A sliding scale can be available after a discussion between therapist and client. The office reserves a limited number of spaces for clients who need a rate adjustment. Those spots cannot be guaranteed to be open, but if none are available Ashley is happy to help you with reduced-fee referrals. Please reach out so your individual case can be discussed.
After booking, complete all forms within 48 hours. You will receive an email confirmation and a telehealth link 24 hours before your appointment.
There is a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. You will be charged the full fee if you no-show or cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, and insurance does not cover that fee. The commitment runs both ways: Ashley commits to being there to support you, and asks that you commit in return.
No. Blue Jay Family Services does not write emotional support animal letters. If that is what you are looking for, you will need to find a provider who offers that service.
